David Felker, Minister of Young Adults

David was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, graduated high school in Fayetteville, AR, and graduated from Mississippi State University. Spending time in these college towns helped feed his unhealthy obsession with SEC sports, particularly football. From 2008-2012, David was the College Coordinator here at First Pres., directing Millsaps Christian Fellowship and ministering to the college students at the church. David graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in May of 2012, and was ordained and installed as as the Minister of Young Adults at FPC in August of 2012. 

In the summer of 2010, David outkicked his coverage and married Lauren. Lauren is from Boulder, CO, she graduated college from TCU in Ft. Worth, TX, and she worked as an intern with Reformed University Fellowship at Ole Miss for three years. Cory Brock, Discipleship Intern

Cory is a native of Natchez, MS where he graduated high school and left for Mississippi State University. He graduated from MSU in 2009 with a degree in Business and decided to go to seminary. He started in the fall of 2009 at Reformed Theological Seminary and is still pursuing a Master of Divinity in Biblical Exegesis. His plan is to graduate in 2013 and see where the doors open from there. Before working with the young adults at FPCJ, Cory was on staff with the student ministry department for nearly 3 years. This past spring, Cory married Heather who works at FPC in student ministry.
